Ella Minnow Pea – Mark Dunn

I received Ella Minnow Pea this book as part of a book club swap. This is not one of my usual reads and had I picked it up on my own and read the synopsis I would not have purchased it. Which would have been an awful occurrence because I simply loved this book from start to finish? Written as a series of letters this book charters the life of the residents of Nollop. As letters fall of the cenotaph they are forced by the high council to stop using those letters. This is the sheer brilliance of this book, as letters drop the author writes without using them. The story is heartwarming with a comedy twist. At 200 pages I urge everyone to give up an afternoon and read this amazing piece of work. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
