I know I am probably a bit late with reading The Curious Incident, the hype has long since died down. However, this is that rare thing a book that lives up to the hype. Christopher has Asperger and has decided to investigate who killed the neighbours’ dog. The story goes from there, told in Christopher ’s own voice, that of an autistic teenager. The story telling is amazing and there are genuine story twists throughout.
This is more a character-led book than a crime fiction. The initial investigation is only a small part of the story although it features quite a bit throughout. For anyone living or working with Asperger, this is an interesting look at their life. Everyone will leave the story understanding Autism just a little better. A brilliant read. One of my top books of the year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
