Social media the most social of platforms,

talk to strangers from all the world

ignoring the people sitting beside you

Same Cells, Same Species

Same cells, same series, different life

Plates piled high with food, watching TV

Kids starving playing in landfill

Our rubbish, their life, our disgrace

Put a coat on you’ll catch cold,

I open my mouth my mother I hear

The ageing of me has begun I must fear

Happy is a little girls hug;

a small hand in mine;

a smile;

being a mum.



The Terrible Two’s

Don’t climb I say, she smiles and pulls herself up, the rebellion of a two-year-old has begun.


Glaring fires streak the sky

On with time; reset the clock

All that life to start

Lost souls to leave

So many resolutions to break


The innocence of children as pure as untouched snow; untainted by footprints.

Developed Society

The indifference to third world famine;

whilst we stuff our faces; which country is developed.
