In the UK, Thanksgiving is an event we don’t understand and many of us don’t celebrate. Now, this is a problem, because everyone no matter where you are should show gratitude and thanks for their life. Especially with the year, we are all having.
So here are the five things I am grateful for this year.
I am grateful I have them. They have kept me sane throughout lockdown and entertained. I am more grateful than I can mention that they are all healthy and safe, I pray it stays like that.
My Writing Family
Thank you to all the friends that I have found through my writing, there are too many to mention and I would leave people out which I would hate. A special mention to my co-editor at Crimebeat, Edward Anderson. What started as a working relationship has developed into a friendship.
Having Enough Food to Feed my Family
Every year I will be grateful for this. I don’t need all the money in the world to be happy. All I wish for is enough food to feed my family and keep them safe.
The Writers I Work With
I am extremely lucky, that over this year, I have worked with some amazing writers through my mentoring program. Some have moved on to other adventures, but I have delighted in working with every single one.
Thank you to anyone who has ever read my post, commented and taken the time to add claps. I try to reply to every comment, but I know I miss a few. Keep in mind that I read every comment, even if I miss you in a reply.
There are so many more things I am thankful for in this world. From the flowers that bloom every spring; to the sun that shines in the summer. We all need to be more grateful for the simple things in life. Perhaps, then we can move towards a brighter tomorrow.
