How Much Income do Viral Posts Generate?

Last week I was lucky enough to gain a viral post. I have had many posts reach over four thousand views, but none have achieved this is such a short space of time. With my writing I often publish and then walk away, not getting back to the post until the children are in bed. It was the same with this post. When I looked that evening the post had already received over one thousand views. Over the next few days, the numbers kept growing. At the time of writing this, the stats are as below.

There are many things over the two years of writing that I have learnt. The major things such as constructing a post and writing a good headline I have covered before. There are however many smaller as important facts. You Don’t Need Expensive Applications Over the months I have bought a frightening amount of application which have cost a great deal of money. Over the months I have learnt that they are not necessary. Whenever I buy an application I go back to a free version which is as effective. I have paid for many writing applications on my phone. However, the one I use now is the iPhone notes function. Simple and free. You don’t need to spend money to be a writer.

How to Make Unique Content for Different Platforms

This year I took the leap and started my own business. Tutoring young people who struggle in mainstream education. It has been a steep learning curve which has taken up most of my time. However, like many of us at heart, I am a writer. Writing is my profession everything else supports my writing. The premise of the new business is to allow me to pick my hours, to fit in with my writing. As mentioned on my goals for the year post I am also determined to finish my manuscript this year. So for me, writing has to take the priority in everything I do. To keep this level of productivity, I needed to streamline my approach. For years I have been guilty of throwing everything at every platform to see what sticks. As new writers, this is an important approach, only when we experiment can we see what works and what doesn’t. New writers need to have the confidence to try many approaches. Those that work you can keep working with, those that don’t then streamline.
